How to Pick Your Perfect Color of Shaggy Loxx Clip in Hair Extensions

Shaggy Loxx hair extensions comes in 13 different shades of extensions and with our 3 highlighted shades and 10 solid shades that you have to choose from. You’re sure to be able to find the perfect shade that will blend beautifully with your natural hair. Each set of Shaggy Loxx has also been colored using our multi-tonal adapt coloring system, which creates subtle highlights and lowlights with slightly lighter and darker colors mixed into each set. This not only gives the each of our shades more dimension and body but also helps it blend and match seamlessly with your own hair, even if it is a shade or two lighter or darker.

In order to ensure that we can do the best job possible in helping you choose the right color, just follow the instructions below.

1. Send us 3 to 4 recent pictures that have taken in natural but not direct sunlight that show the full length of your hair, from roots to ends with your hair down and not in a bun, ponytail, updo etc. 
2. For the best results, make sure that the pictures have not been edited and that you haven’t used any filters on the pictures. 
3. We also advise that you take the pictures while standing in front of a window that has good natural lighting and if possible, have someone else take the pictures so they can make sure that it shows off the full length of your hair. 
4. Take and sent 1 picture each that shows the back, front, sides, roots, and ends is recommended so we can help you choose the best shade of extensions for your hair. 

Every set of our extensions come with a separate tester weft that is not included with the rest of the set of extensions. This is so you can use the test weft and clip it in your hair to make sure it will be a match for your natural hair. It is very important to remember that you need to use the test weft to make sure your extensions are the right color before you open the rest of your set of Shaggy Loxx because once the whole set of extensions had been opened, you can no longer return the extensions to exchange them for a different color.

Shaggy Loxx hair extensions are made from 100% Remy human hair which means that they can be colored. However, because our extensions have already undergone a coloring process, you should never try to lighten or bleach your extensions because this can cause damage even ruin your extensions. It is possible however to darken your extensions if you change your hair color and want to have your Shaggy Loxx match your new shade.
If you’re thinking about having your hair extensions custom colored, toning them, or doing lowlights or highlights we recommend getting either our Honey Blonde, Flaxen Blonde, or Marylin Blonde shades because they will be the simplest to color. We ALWAYS recommend having them colored by a professional hairstylist who has experience coloring hair extensions. Otherwise, you run the risk of possibly ruining your new extensions and we definitely don’t want to have that happen to you!

The first color in the Shaggy Loxx is our Sunset Blonde, which is the lightest shade of our highlighted shades. The Sunset Blonde is a beautiful blend of our Almond Blonde which is a medium blonde and the Marilyn Blonde, which is a light, pale blonde shade. It blends the best with hair which has more of pearly base blonde highlights

As you can see, the Sunset Blonde is a lighter highlighted shade than our next color, the Bohemian Blonde, which is overall a darker highlighted shade but both shades do have gold undertones.

The Bohemian Blonde is the next shade in our highlighted collection and is a mix of the Almond Blonde which is a medium blonde combined with a lighter pale blonde shade which creates a beautiful highlighted effect that will blend the best with a medium highlighted hair color

As you can see, the biggest difference between the Bohemian Blonde and our next highlighted color, our Taupe Blonde that the Bohemian Blonde is more of a medium blonde highlighted shade while the Taupe Blonde is overall slightly darker and is a mix of a medium brown and a pale blonde.
The Taupe Blonde which is the darkest shade of our highlighted collection and is a combination between a medium brown and pale blonde which creates a subtle dark highlight effect which will look great with medium brown hair with a hint of blonde highlights.

The first color that we have in our collection of solid shades is our Ravenna Black which is the darkest color that we have in the Shaggy Loxx collection. It is a true black that has beautiful, slightly cool undertones that are shiny yet still subtle and gorgeous.

When you compare the Ravenna Black to our next Darkest shade, you can see there is a considerable amount of difference between the two colors. The Ravenna Black is much darker than the Dark Mocha which is a warm shade of brown with reddish undertones.
Our Dark Mocha color is the darkest shade of brown that we offer. It is is a rich and decadent shade of dark chocolate brown which has beautiful reddish undertones that will blend beautifully with dark brunette shades of hair.

When you compare the Dark Mocha and the Parisian Brown shades side by side, the Dark Mocha is a very similar shade but is darker and has red undertones, while the Parisian Brown is a lighter brunette and has warm golden undertones.
Our next color is the Parisian Brown shade and the Parisian Brown is a warm, medium brown that has a slight undertone of gold that will blend seamlessly with medium brunettes.

As you can see, when you compare the Parisian Brown to our next shade, the Parisian Brown is more of a true medium brown while the Scarlet Red is a rich chestnut brown which is a much more reddish auburn brown.
Our Scarlet Red shade is a rich shade of chestnut brown with beautiful multi-tonal undertones of gold and cinnamon that will blend seamlessly with natural auburn brown hair.

the biggest differences as you can see between the Scarlet Red and the Gaelic Rose is that the Scarlet red is much darker while the Gaelic Rose is a lighter auburn shade that has beautiful light gold and reddish undertones.
Our Gaelic Rose is a light golden auburn shade, with rich yet subtle tones of dark reddish blonde that blend in beautifully with most auburn shades of hair.

When you compare our Gaelic Rose to our next shade, the Almond Blond. You can see that the Gaelic Rose is a darker, auburn blonde with rich red undertones while the Almond blonde has gold and ash multi undertones.
Our Almond Blonde is a beautiful shade of medium ash golden blonde, with subtle warm undertones that will perfectly match a warm shade of sandy blonde hair

When you compare the Almond Blonde to our next shade, the Tahitian Blonde you can see that the Almond Blonde is a more ashy or dirty blonde color and the Tahitian Blonde is a rich, dark golden blonde.
Now we have the Tahitian Blonde and our Tahitian Blonde shade is a dark golden ash blonde with beautiful red undertones that will match perfectly with any darker strawberry blonde shades of hair.

When you compare our Tahitian Blonde side by side with our next shade, the Strawberry Blonde, the biggest difference between the two shades is that the Tahitian is a darker blonde than Strawberry Blonde but they both have beautiful gold and red undertones.
Our Strawberry Blonde shade is a light and beautiful natural warm shade of blonde with rich red and gold undertones that will help it blend with any shades of hair that are of a light golden color.

When you see our Strawberry Blonde and our Flaxen Blonde side by side and as you can see, the Strawberry Blonde is a much warmer shade with light reddish gold undertones and the Flaxen Blonde is a much lighter and pale shade of blonde that has slight golden undertones.
The next color in our line is the Flaxen Blonde. The Flaxen Blonde is a very neutral yellow base light blonde shade. The Flaxen Blonde will match best with blonde shades of hair that are more of a yellow base color.

In comparison, our Flaxen Blonde is much more of a neutral yellow shade than our next shade, the Marilyn Blonde, while our Marilyn Blonde is a pale and slightly cool shade of blonde.
